			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yesterday my webhost Lunarpages informed me that my blog had some “<em>unwanted uploaded code</em>” meaning it had been attacked by a malicious hacker; and if I didn&#8217;t fix it, they might suspend my account. So I deleted the old blog and just installed a new version of WordPress which you are now reading.<br />
Life here in Cebu is OK: yesterday was the last day of the annual Sinulog Festival, and now its time for Cebu to get back to the normal, every-day business of being a big crazy Filipino city.<br />
As for me, I&#8217;ll just continue being an American expat in this endlessly interesting place called the Philippines.</p>
